Nick’s parents are the inspiration for his senior living passion

For Field of Dreams owner, Nick Ferreri, senior living is personal. Nick’s parents, Louie and Josephine Ferreri, were the inspiration to develop and operate his first assisted living and memory care communities in Jamestown, NY. His path towards senior care first started when he was away dealing with acquisitions and his older brother admitted his father in a skilled facility which was unfit for the care in which he needed. Nick returned to the buffalo area to visit where his father was placed and he was not happy with his care. Nick knew it was time to get involved and developed a passion for providing top of the line senior care. After much research and studying the best practices for dementia care, personal care, and design of senior living communities, he developed a community that was state of the art and designed specifically to provide a supportive and active environment for seniors to grow older with grace and dignity. His former properties in Jamestown, Tanglewood Manor and Memory Garden, became so renowned in senior care that scientists and researchers at the University of Florida sought Nick out to learn from his senior living community and invited him to get involved in their research to prevent or cure Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Nick’s mother Josephine would eventually move into his Memory Garden community where she delighted everyone with her many beautiful hats and had pajama parties with all of her new friends. Both Louie and Josephine have since passed due to their dementia, but they live on in the work that their son, Nick, continues to do with advocating for dementia research and with the services that his Field of Dreams Senior Living Campus provide to senior adults, those affected by dementia, and caregivers. Portraits of Louie and Josephine are hung within our family meeting room at the Field of Dreams where prospective residents and their families can see that Nick’s passion for providing the best in senior care is personal. Field of Dreams is more than a community, it’s a family, and we care about you.
